Job summary

InPost Pay is building a lean, AI-native engineering organization in Poland. We seek a senior backend leader to hire, mentor, and guide 4–5 senior engineers while partnering with PM to shape quarterly roadmaps and own end-to-end delivery.

You will drive technical direction, code quality, and architectural governance in a fast-paced fintech context. The role emphasizes an AI-first culture, data-driven delivery metrics, and strong collaboration with senior leadership across Europe.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend software development experience.
• 2+ years of people leadership (direct management).
• 2+ years in payments/fintech domain.
• Fluent English (B2+) in speech and writing.
• Active engagement in architecture and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the team—hire, onboard, and mentor 4–5 senior engineers with strong performance management.
• Co-author the product roadmap with PM to align engineering constraints in quarterly planning.
• Own delivery end-to-end: sprint planning, dependency mapping, risk management, stakeholder alignment.
