Job summary

Seargin is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer in Katowice, Poland. You will own testing and evolution of embedded systems, including industrial controllers and firmware, within a hybrid work setup.

You’ll collaborate with teams in the USA, Singapore and Czechia and mentor peers to raise testing quality across multiple embedded projects. You will develop test strategies, build frameworks, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines while shaping test coverage and validating features

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related IT field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of practical Python-based test automation experience.
• Knowledge of network protocols, embedded systems, or RTOS.
• Experience building test frameworks or tools.
• 5+ years in embedded firmware testing and defect analysis.
• Experience with GitHub/GitLab and Jenkins in CI/CD.
• Understanding of test design and validation methods.
• Fluent English (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Test firmware components for Rockwell Automation devices.
• Verify and validate features (Ethernet/IP, CIP, etc.).
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Support defect analysis and root-cause identification.
• Develop test frameworks and environments.
• Define test coverage and review requirements.
• Create test plans and documentation.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, tests and defects.
• Define test strategies for new features and components.
• Promote automation and CI/CD in testing workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge.
• Contribute to technical decisions and process improvements.
• Collaborate with global teams.
