Job summary

Seargin in Katowice, Poland seeks a QA Automation Engineer to develop automated tests for firmware components across industrial devices. You will validate features, integrate tests into CI/CD, and help ensure robust product quality.

Responsibilities include creating test plans, maintaining test frameworks, and collaborating in Agile/SAFe teams to improve coverage and accelerate delivery of embedded software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Automation and Robotics, Electronics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of practical test automation experience using Python and software lifecycle development methodologies.
• Knowledge of network protocols, embedded systems architecture, or real-time operating systems such as QNX or VxWorks.
• Experience developing test frameworks or testing tools.
• 5+ years of experience testing embedded firmware, analyzing defects, and supporting issue resolution.
• Practical experience with version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab.
• Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins.
• Understanding of testing methods, including test design and validation techniques.
• Fluent English at B2 level or higher.
• Experience applying software requirements analysis, software design, and software testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated tests for firmware components across industrial devices.
• Verify and validate product features, including network protocols, controller functions, and platform services.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing workflows.
• Analyze defects, identify root causes using debugging techniques, and prioritize critical issues.
• Develop and maintain test frameworks and test environments.
• Participate in requirements reviews and define appropriate test coverage for new features.
• Create test cases, test plans, and supporting test documentation.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, tests, and defects while identifying coverage gaps.
• Define test strategies for new features and embedded system components.
• Participate in Agile/SAFe activities, including planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
