Job summary

Rockwell Automation in Katowice is seeking an Engineer, Embedded Software Test to independently test firmware features and deepen expertise in embedded systems. You will work with a 6-8 person team among 20+ embedded groups worldwide and report to the Team Leader/Manager of Embedded Software in a hybrid setup in Katowice.

You will develop tests, automate firmware validation, integrate into CI/CD, and collaborate across Agile/SAFe teams while helping diagnose defects with a proactive, can-do

Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical test automation experience in Python
• Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, Ethernet) and embedded systems architecture
• 2+ years of embedded firmware testing and defect analysis
• Experience with version control (GitHub/GitLab) and CI/CD (Jenkins)
• Fluent English (B2 or higher) and proactive attitude

Responsibilities

• Test Development & Automation of firmware components for Rockwell devices
• Verify and validate features such as network protocols and platform services
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Support defects analysis and root-cause identification
• Create test plans, cases, and documentation
• Maintain traceability between requirements, tests and defects
• Collaborate in Agile/SAFe environments and with global teams
• Promote automation and CI/CD in testing workflows
