Seargin is seeking a Test Engineer specialized in embedded software to design, develop, and execute tests for firmware across platforms.

You will verify features, maintain test documentation, and support automation, collaborating with firmware and software teams to improve quality and reliability. The role is based in Katowice, Poland, and offers a B2B contract with access to international projects and wellness benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing, embedded testing, or a similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of C++ and/or Python.
• Previous experience with embedded systems or hardware-close software.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and test processes.
• Experience with test case design, execution, and defect reporting.
• Ability to analyze technical issues and investigate root causes.
• Good understanding of the interaction between software and hardware.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute tests for embedded software and firmware.
• Perform hardware testing across stages, from simulation and bench testing to real hardware.
• Verify new features and ensure software meets defined requirements.
• Develop and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test documentation.
• Develop scripts and support test automation to improve testing efficiency.
• Analyze test results and investigate anomalies, defects, and unexpected behavior.
• Collaborate with firmware and software developers to identify root causes and resolve issues.
• Support the integration of firmware with other software and hardware components.
• Participate in requirement reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.
• Contribute to improving testing processes, product quality, and software reliability.
