Job summary

Google LLC is seeking an Embedded System Kernel Tech Lead in Poland to design, develop, and maintain the Pixel device software stack. The role emphasizes low-level kernel work, SoC bring-up, and collaboration across teams to deliver robust Android-based devices.

You will lead architecture and integration efforts, ensuring high-quality system software across the Android platform while engaging with hardware through drivers and kernel interfaces. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of software development experience in C++ and C.
• 3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
• 2 years of experience working with the Linux kernel and Android systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain the whole system software stack for Pixel devices.
• Build Google SoC and the in-market devices system software kernel sustaining.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve the software quality.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
