Job summary

Google LLC in Poland seeks an Embedded System Kernel Tech Lead to architect, design, develop, test, deploy and maintain complex Android embedded consumer devices. You will own the kernel and system software for Pixel devices, collaborating across teams on low-level hardware and driver integration.

Required: 5 years C/C++ software, 3 years embedded OS, 2 years Linux kernel/Android. Masters/PhD preferred; excellent English communication; interviews in-person in Warsaw/Kraków.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in C++ and C.
• 3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
• 2 years of experience with the Linux kernel and Android systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain the whole system software stack for Pixel devices.
• Build Google SoC and the in-market devices system software kernel sustaining.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software quality.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve hardware, network, or service impacts.
