Job summary

Google is seeking software engineers to contribute to next-generation hardware-software co-design alongside Pixel teams. You will work on low-level software infrastructure, collaborate with SoC Architecture, Firmware, Kernel, Android System and Validation teams, and help deliver pre- and post-silicon bring-up that powers high-performance devices.

The role emphasizes leadership, versatility across full-stack development, and the opportunity to switch teams as projects evolve.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.

Responsibilities

Write and test product or system development code.
Act as the primary software lead for Pixel Software for new silicon programs, driving end-to-end software readiness, execution, and risk mitigation across pre- and post-silicon milestones.
Drive software readiness to achieve production-stack Boot-to-Home on early silicon.
Partner with Emulation/Simulation teams to define software requirements and deliver stable platforms for early development.
Lead wafer and Silicon on Desk bring-up in the lab, delivering CDT (Configuration Data Table), partition tables, hardware documentation, and Flashstation/flashing tooling support.
