Job summary

ALTEN Polska is seeking an experienced embedded firmware engineer to design and implement firmware components for multiple devices while focusing on network protocols and platform services. You will work in a remote Poland-based role with long-term collaboration.

You will contribute to CI/CD workflows, perform firmware debugging, write tests, and lead complex system analyses, with opportunities to grow through ALTEN Polska branches and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Automation and Robotics, Electronics, or related IT field.
• Typically 7+ years of software development experience in C++.
• Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, Ethernet) and RTOS (QNX, VxWorks).
• Experience in embedded firmware development and debugging.
• Experience with GitHub/GitLab and CI/CD (Jenkins).
• Fluent English (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Design firmware components for multiple devices.
• Implement and validate product features in domains such as network protocols or platform/OS services.
• Perform firmware debugging and defect analysis.
• Write unit tests and integration tests, contributing to CI/CD-driven quality workflows.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with embedded coding standards.
• Lead analysis and resolution of complex system-level issues.
• Contribute to technical decision-making and improve development processes.
