Job summary

Alarm.com is seeking a firmware engineer to join the EBS team in Poland. The role focuses on embedded software development for devices used in real-world installations, with emphasis on safety-critical applications and integration with external systems.

You will develop in C/C++, test, document, and collaborate with hardware and software teams, contributing to features and design of new devices while operating in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in C/C++ programming.
• Basic knowledge of embedded systems.
• Knowledge of Git version control.
• Analytical thinking and independent problem solving.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Higher technical education in CS, Electronics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Implementing new features and developing existing software.
• Developing and maintaining embedded software in C/C++.
• Working with microcontroller peripherals.
• Integrating devices with external systems and applications.
• Writing unit tests and ensuring code quality and readability.
• Participating in design of new devices and features.
• Creating and updating technical documentation in English.
• Collaborating with hardware team and other technical departments.
