Job summary

The PAC Group seeks Senior Process Engineers to support a greenfield electric drive unit manufacturing line in Saudi Arabia, involving e‑motor and inverter assembly with integrated testing. You will own process areas such as stator, rotor, motor assembly or inverter, or act as a cross‑process generalist for end‑to‑end value streams.

Roles cover installation, qualification, run‑at‑rate, SOP, and ramp‑up to full production, with on‑site work and international collaboration.

Qualifications

• MSc or equivalent engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronic, manufacturing or related field.
• 5–10 years of process engineering in high‑volume manufacturing, ideally automotive powertrain or takt‑driven assembly.
• Hands‑on production‑floor ownership of a manufacturing process at rate.
• Strong knowledge of takt‑based manufacturing, cycle time analysis, line balancing, OEE and downtime reduction.
• Experience with SPC, DOE, MSA/Gage R&R and capability analysis (Minitab/JMP/Python/R).
• Solid automotive quality methods: PFMEA, control plans, 8D, root‑cause analysis, APQP, PPAP.

Responsibilities

• Own the process definition, flow, cycle time, parameter windows, control plans, PFMEA and change control from installation to stable production.
• Lead equipment commissioning, SAT, process capability studies and DOE to set initial parameter windows.
• Deliver APQP and PPAP requirements for your area.
• Engineer to takt by balancing stations and removing bottlenecks and micro‑stops.
• Drive ramp by converting scrap, rework, yield and downtime into a prioritized improvement backlog.
• Act as first‑line escalation for production, leading structured problem‑solving (8D, 5‑Why, Ishikawa, Shainin).
• Make containment decisions with Production and Quality teams.
• Design and validate error‑proofing, poka‑yoke, and inline verification with torque/force monitoring.
• Build a process data foundation through SPC, MES and traceability systems, with statistical monitoring.
• Support customer and supplier interfaces, including JIT/JIS delivery and PPAP for components.
• Contribute to safety and compliance around HV work, magnet handling, safety, chemicals and ergonomics.
• Train production technicians and operators on processes, parameters, troubleshooting and reaction plans.
