Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Poland is seeking a Senior DSP Fixed-Point Design Engineer to bridge algorithmic models and flight-ready hardware. You will transform floating-point DSP routines into fixed-point references, work with RTL and DV teams, and optimize for size, speed, and power in aerospace-grade processors.

The role requires strong math, experience across MATLAB/C++/Python, and a thorough understanding of quantization, word-length, overflow handling, and scalable architectures for fault-tolerant

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years in silicon/ASIC/FPGA with a focus on DSP hardware.
• Deep understanding of fixed-point arithmetic, quantization, overflow handling and scaling.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, C++, or Python for modeling and automated verification.
• Strong DSP fundamentals: FIR/IIR, FFT, multi-rate processing, AGC.

Responsibilities

• Convert floating-point DSP algorithms into fixed-point models with bit-true, cycle-accurate references.
• Perform quantization/noise analysis and word-length trade-offs balancing area, power, and performance.
• Define and document hardware-friendly DSP architectures and scaling strategies.
• Collaborate with RTL designers to implement and verify hardware blocks ( multipliers, FFTs, CORDIC engines).
• Generate fixed-point test vectors and golden reference models for pre-silicon DV and post-silicon validation.
• Drive architectural optimizations for low power, high throughput, and small silicon area.
