Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Poland seeks a Principal Analog Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to lead high-speed ADC/DAC development in FinFET CMOS, delivering state-of-the-art converters for space applications.

You will model with MATLAB/Simulink, use Spectre and AMS flows, collaborate with system architects, oversee layout and tape-out readiness, and mentor junior engineers to foster best analog design practices.

Qualifications

• MS in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in high-speed ADCs/DACs in FinFET technologies.
• Familiarity with SAR, pipeline, TDC, delta-sigma, interleaved sampling, RF, and sub-sampling architectures.
• Understanding of digital calibration algorithms for impairments of said architectures.
• Proficiency in mixed-mode and analog/RF modeling, simulation, and verification using MATLAB, Spectre, SystemVerilog, and AMS.
• Deep understanding of Electromigration and layout-dependent effects on circuit performance in FinFET technologies.
• Extensive experience in silicon characterization and debugging.
• Strong background in fundamental analog/RF building blocks (amplifiers, filters, oscillators, references, LDOs).
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, development and integration of ADCs and DACs in FinFET CMOS, focusing on performance optimization, power and trade-offs.
• Develop high-level behavioral models in MATLAB, Simulink, or SystemVerilog-AMS to validate system performance before circuit implementation.
• Use Spectre and AMS flows to design high-performance mixed-signal circuits.
• Collaborate with system architects to define block-level performance and interface requirements for RF payloads and terminals.
• Oversee layout, integration, floorplanning, and verification for successful tape-out.
• Work with validation and product engineers to develop test plans, facilitate bring-up, optimize performance for high yield.
• Implement analog building blocks to improve overall circuit performance and mentor juniors in analog design.
