Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our global DevOps team. You will help design, build, deploy, and operate high-reliability, cloud-native services across multi-cloud environments.

You will implement automation, develop DevOps tooling, and advance security integration in our pipelines. Successful candidates will have hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices, plus strong scripting and networking knowledge.

Qualifications

Proven experience building cloud-agnostic infrastructure across multi-cloud environments.
Hands-on work with IaC and cloud infrastructure management using Terraform.
Experience setting up and managing large-scale container environments with Docker and Kubernetes.
Proficiency in cloud security governance, zero-trust, and PoLP access models.
Strong CI/CD (GitOps) and scripting in Linux Shell and Python.
Understanding of distributed systems and Linux networking (TCP/IP, SSH, SSL, HTTP).
Excellent communication and organizational skills for independent work.

Responsibilities

Contribute to design and implementation of highly available, scalable solutions.
Design and develop DevOps tools to enable seamless software delivery.
Automate operational tasks towards a zero-touch operations model.
Develop processes and tools to monitor and improve distributed systems.
Collaborate with security teams to integrate automated security checks into pipelines.
