Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our global DevOps team. You will help design, build, deploy, and operate high-reliability, cloud-native services across multi-cloud environments.

You will implement automation, develop DevOps tooling, and advance security integration in our pipelines. Successful candidates will have hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices, plus strong scripting and networking knowledge.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building cloud-agnostic infrastructure across multi-cloud environments.
• Hands-on work with IaC and cloud infrastructure management using Terraform.
• Experience setting up and managing large-scale container environments with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in cloud security governance, zero-trust, and PoLP access models.
• Strong CI/CD (GitOps) and scripting in Linux Shell and Python.
• Understanding of distributed systems and Linux networking (TCP/IP, SSH, SSL, HTTP).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills for independent work.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and implementation of highly available, scalable solutions.
• Design and develop DevOps tools to enable seamless software delivery.
• Automate operational tasks towards a zero-touch operations model.
• Develop processes and tools to monitor and improve distributed systems.
• Collaborate with security teams to integrate automated security checks into pipelines.
