Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a strategic Post Trade project focused on migrating services to the cloud. This role involves designing, supporting, and scaling CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to modernize critical financial infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in DevOps, strong RHEL expertise, and hands-on experience with GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Systems/Infrastructure roles.
• Expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration at expert level.
• Unix/Linux troubleshooting and support.
• Background in on-premises infrastructure and server lifecycle management.
• Bash scripting and Python for automation.
• Configuration management and infrastructure automation.
• Experience with GitLab, Jenkins, and Ansible.
• Familiarity with Git and source code management, including branching strategy.
• Hands-on PostgreSQL experience.
• Design, support, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines.
• Support production and non-production environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
• English at Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher.

Responsibilities

• Design, support, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines across production and non-production environments.
• Implement DevOps best practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Automate operational, deployment, and infrastructure processes.
• Manage server lifecycle activities, including patching, upgrades, and operational support.
• Deliver large-scale transformation and migration projects within enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with Unix, Middleware, Database, Network, and Security teams.
• Support engineering teams with build, deployment, and platform-related issues.
• Identify root causes and drive issues through to resolution.
• Engage with stakeholders and communicate effectively across technical and business teams.
• Work autonomously with minimal supervision, actively pulling work and driving delivery.
