Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior GCP DevOps Engineer to drive cloud-native adoption for clients, focusing on architecture guidance, data migration, troubleshooting, and monitoring. You will implement CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code while ensuring scalable, secure cloud architectures.

The role emphasizes collaboration with customers and cross‑functional teams, applying best practices and enabling ongoing improvements across projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles.
• GCP services including GKE, CloudBuild, Secret Management, Container Registry.
• Experience with high availability, scalability, and security for Kubernetes.
• Proficient in Git, GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins.
• Dockerfile and Kubernetes YAML expertise; IaC with Terraform or Ansible.
• Troubleshoot cluster/network issues; Python-based apps debugging.
• Experience with AI integrations (AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI, Azure AI) and RAG.
• Familiar with AI tooling like Cursor, Claude Code, Trae, OpenCode, Antigravity.
• Strong English communication; collaborative, proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Clarify technical requirements and project scope.
• Engage in active communication with customers to ensure project alignment.
• Support cloud-native adaptations for customer applications.
• Implement DevOps practices including CI/CD and IaC.
• Design and optimize cloud apps for scalability, including CDN and load balancing.
• Assist in deploying GCP services like identity management and security.
• Document decisions, designs, and processes for future reference.
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud apps and network connectivity.
• Share knowledge and participate in training sessions.
