Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled and insight‑driven Demand Planner. In this pivotal role, you will build reliable forecasts, connect data with commercial reality, and support strategic decision‑making across multiple time horizons.

Key responsibility areas

• Manage monthly and weekly forecasting process at both the detail (short term) and aggregate (mid and long term) level to create a 0-18 month rolling demand plan which becomes the basis for operating plans and financial projections.
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams on demand plan preparation and execution.
• Analyze data to translate it into insights.
• Challenge data sources and assumptions and ensure that the demand plan reflects commercial actions and assumptions in a fact‑based way.
• Drive the understanding of forecast changes including main drivers (volume, price, competition, etc.).
• Create scenarios through identification of demand risks and opportunities, and through application of sensitivity analyses in price, market share, and competitive data.
• Drive reduction of forecast bias and improvement of forecast mix.

Functional Skills & Experience

• Degree in science, business or technical.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially MS Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP systems, experience with SAP APO nice to have.
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
• Strong influencing skills and leadership experience driving for improved learning and change.
• Experience in close cooperation with commercial and/or general business management function.
• Comfortably communicating and acting with different levels and stakeholders.
• Communicative level of English.
