Job summary

Procter & Gamble is seeking a hands-on Senior Databricks Platform Engineer to operate and evolve our Azure Databricks-based data and AI platform. You will evaluate new Databricks features, run proofs of concept, assess security implications, and scale deployments with secure configurations and automated guardrails.

You will also build agent skills for coding agents, contribute to SDLC best practices, and partner with Security and IT teams to enforce governance, access controls, and cost

Qualifications

• Azure Databricks experience (4+ years) including workspace administration and cost management
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for platform log analysis
• Experience with REST APIs, Terraform, and Azure networking (Private Endpoints, vNETs)
• CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar tools
• Strong problem solving, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Databricks features, conduct proofs of concept, assess security implications and scalability at scale
• Develop reusable configurations, patterns, and agent skills for SDLC governance and security best practices
• Build and maintain pipelines and automation for account configuration changes and governance guardrails
• Create self-service tooling to enable approved Databricks capabilities within governance constraints
• Partner with Information Security to review capabilities and implement access controls and guardrails
• Use SQL to analyze Databricks system tables, build dashboards, and track feature adoption and costs
• Manage Databricks account configuration, monitoring, reliability, and costs, and guide platform users
