Job summary

Procter & Gamble is seeking a hands-on Senior Databricks Platform Engineer to operate and evolve our data and AI platform built on Azure Databricks in Warsaw. The role involves evaluating new features, governance, and scalable secure deployments, plus shaping an AI-assisted SDLC and reusable agent skills for platform users.

You will develop configurations, patterns, and documentation; build pipelines for account configuration changes and enforce governance guardrails, partnering with InfoSec.

Qualifications

• Strong (4 years+) hands-on Azure Databricks experience including workspace administration, compute configuration, permissions, and cost management.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL sufficient to perform analysis of platform logs.
• Experience with REST APIs, Terraform and Azure networking (Private Endpoints, vNETs), Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience with CI/CD using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Feature Evaluation: Track Databricks roadmap to evaluate new features, conduct proofs of concepts, assess security risks, cost implications, and scalability readiness; document recommendations.
• Adoption and AI-Assisted Engineering Enablement: Develop reusable configurations and documentation; build, test, and maintain agent skills and instructions for applying best practices.
• CI/CD and Automation: Build pipelines for Databricks account configuration changes and safely perform these changes; automate with version control and controlled deployment.
• Governed Self-Service Enablement: Build self-serve tools to request and enable approved Databricks capabilities within governance guardrails.
• Security Evaluation: Partner with Information Security to review capabilities before production adoption; implement access controls and guardrails.
• Data‑Driven Governance: Use SQL to analyze Databricks system tables; build dashboards to track feature adoption, usage, and costs.
• Platform Operations: Manage Databricks account configuration, monitoring, reliability, costs; troubleshoot and maintain runbooks; advise users on best practices.
