Allegro in Warsaw is seeking a seasoned Data Scientist to advance ML solutions at scale. You will lead projects from concept to production, using a broad set of techniques from gradient boosting to Generative AI, while processing terabytes of data on Google Cloud Platform.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, analytics, and data engineering, growing knowledge across teams and mentoring peers in a dynamic, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Proven production ML & SQL experience: track record in data analysis with SQL and deploying end-to-end ML models.
• Business-first problem-solving drive: translate ambiguous business challenges into well-defined ML problems.
• Exceptional communication: bridge gaps with business units and present findings clearly.
• Strong coding & software engineering foundations: Python and standard development workflows.
• Solid mathematical grounding: deep understanding of statistics and machine learning algorithms.
• Enthusiasm for modern AI tooling: Generative AI and Agentic AI workflows with AI-assisted coding tools.
• A quantitative background: degree in Mathematics, Physics, CS, Economics, or equivalent experience.
• Language proficiency: Fluency in Polish and English (minimum B2).

Responsibilities

• Lead impactful projects from concept to productization to deliver insights and models.
• Master diverse modeling techniques including gradient boosting, Bayesian methods, and deep learning.
• Handle terabytes of data using Google Cloud Platform solutions across multiple data types.
• Drive implementation of offline and online models in production environments.
• Collaborate with business, analytics, and data engineering teams.
• Grow knowledge sharing, mentor peers, and contribute to internal learning.
