Alcon in Poland is seeking an Associate Data Scientist to join the ITCI AI Center of Excellence. You will build and maintain ML models, interpret outputs for business stakeholders, and present key findings to drive strategic decisions.

The role emphasizes creating production-ready data pipelines, leveraging AWS SageMaker, and collaborating across global teams in a hybrid Warsaw office setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, CS, economics, or related.
• Advanced level of English
• 1–2 years of related experience
• Strong SQL querying ability
• Proficient Python and AWS SageMaker
• Experience building data pipelines
• Ability to craft production ML models
• Excellent stakeholder communication
• Strong analytical and visualization skills
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ML models that provide predictive and prescriptive recommendations to the business.
• Interpret models for the business to deliver actionable insights.
• Aid in presenting key findings to core stakeholders.
• Maintain and update deployed models as needed; AWS SageMaker knowledge required.
