Job summary

Itransition in Poland is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and operate cloud data solutions using Snowflake and Databricks. You will work with clients across industries, translating business requirements into reliable data pipelines and models.

The role combines hands-on engineering with technical ownership and collaboration on architecture and delivery decisions. You will design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, develop data models, implement data security, and contribute to

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience delivering production data solutions.
• Hands-on with Snowflake and Databricks in cloud environments.
• Strong SQL and Python, including PySpark.
• Experience using dbt to develop and test data transformations.
• Cloud data solutions experience, preferably on Azure.
• Experience with Git, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Understand business needs with client stakeholders and define technical requirements.
• Contribute to solution design, explain options, trade-offs, and effort.
• Design, build, and maintain production ETL/ELT pipelines across sources.
• Develop data models and transformations to support analytics and processes.
• Implement data validation, error handling, monitoring, and recovery.
• Improve pipeline performance and manage compute/storage costs.
• Apply data security and governance practices, including access control.
• Use version control, automated testing, and CI/CD for maintainable delivery.
• Create technical documentation and transfer knowledge to client teams.
• Support project estimation, raise delivery risks, and mentor engineers.
