Job summary

Kake, a remote-first company with a people-first global community of engineers, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own data analysis, pipelines, and modeling end-to-end. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to drive data-informed decisions.

You'll design scalable data models, build ETL/ELT pipelines, and ensure data quality across sources. Strong SQL, Python or R, and experience with visualization tools are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Data Science, or Data Engineering.
• Strong experience with SQL and working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with a programming language such as Python, R, or similar.
• Experience building or maintaining data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, or data warehouses.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and workflows for analytics.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and actionable insights.
• Build and maintain ML models to solve business problems.
• Ensure data quality and integrity across sources.
• Design data models and warehouses to support scalable analytics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate questions into data solutions.
• Contribute to data best practices and cross-project improvements.
• Participate in reviews and identify data risks early.
