Job summary

Kake, a remote-first, people-first global community of senior engineers, is seeking Senior Backend Engineers specializing in TypeScript, Python, or C# to build scalable systems for millions of users.

You will own backend services end-to-end, design REST or GraphQL APIs, and make architecture decisions around data modelling and component design, collaborating with product and frontend teams to ship reliable software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, backend focus.
• Experience designing and versioning REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, or C# and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong English communication; ability to work remotely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship production backend services end-to-end in TS, Python or C#.
• Design and evolve REST or GraphQL APIs serving frontend/back-end contracts.
• Make architecture decisions on data modelling, service boundaries, and event-driven components.
• Model data across relational and NoSQL stores; choose right database per use case.
• Write clean, well-tested code and implement observability to diagnose live systems.
