Job summary

Kake is a remote-first, people-first global community of senior engineers. We are seeking Senior Data Engineers who turn raw data into reliable insights and scalable pipelines, partnering with product and engineering teams to drive data-informed decisions.

You will own data pipelines, models, and analytics across large datasets, ensure data quality, and translate business questions into actionable reporting. This role supports US-timezone overlap and USD compensation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Data Science, or Data Engineering.
• Strong experience with SQL and relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with Python or R.
• Experience building or maintaining data pipelines, ETL/ELT, or data warehouses.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Ability to translate business questions into data-driven analysis and recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and workflows for analytics, reporting, and modeling.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and actionable insights.
• Build, validate, and maintain statistical or ML models to solve business problems.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across sources and pipelines.
• Design and maintain data models, schemas, and warehouses for scalable analytics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business questions into data solutions and clear reporting.
• Contribute to data best practices and continuous improvement across projects.
• Participate in requirement reviews and identify data risks early.
