Job summary

Nordea is seeking an Expert IT Developer/Data Engineer to lead data engineering efforts for Capital and Credit Data Foundation. The role involves building scalable ELT/ETL pipelines, optimizing SQL/PLSQL, and delivering data products for large financial impact.

You will work with on-prem and cloud hybrid infrastructure, joining teams across data engineers, architects and product managers in Finland and Gdańsk, Poland. Hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer engineering or equivalent (BSc/MSc/PhD).
• Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL development with performance focus.
• Experience with ELT/ETL and data pipelines; Snowflake/Oracle/MSSQL.
• Knowledge of modern data stack, DataOps and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Power BI, on-prem and cloud deployments.
• Familiar with DevOps tools: Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform; CI/CD.
• Understanding of test automation and different test scenarios.
• Experience with version control (Git/GitHub/GitLab).

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Develop and optimize PLSQL queries for high-performance storage.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure and workflows.
• Ensure data quality, governance and compliance with best practices.
• Monitor and optimize data workflows and infrastructure performance.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects and product managers.
