Job summary

Nordea is seeking an experienced Tech Lead to join our Data Mesh and AI Platforms team. You will shape and deliver cloud and AI platform capabilities that enable Nordea teams to build, provision, and operate modern data and AI solutions securely, consistently, and at scale.

You will lead a small, agile team with a mandate to drive impact across Nordea. This full-time role offers hybrid work with up to 40% remote, based in Gdańsk, Gdynia, Poland, or Helsinki, Finland.

Qualifications

• Proven cloud platform design and build experience across AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Strong infrastructure as code, automation, and DevOps practices.
• Comfortable leading engineers and communicating with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set the engineering direction for AI platform capabilities with architectural integrity.
• Lead hands-on work across cloud infra, automation, CI/CD and IaC patterns.
• Design secure platform foundations with identity integration, security controls, and observability.
• Drive adoption of AI platform services such as Bedrock, Gemini, Foundry in a banking context.
• Coach engineers and foster platform engineering culture focused on automation and quality.
• Collaborate with product, data science, cybersecurity, governance teams to align decisions with business needs.
• Own and communicate the technical roadmap, balancing speed, cost, scalability, and compliance.
• Translate technical complexity into clear recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
