Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior Counsel for a fixed-term contract to advise on and negotiate complex SaaS, software, data, and technology agreements supporting global product sales. You will be a hands-on commercial lawyer, partnering with Sales, Product Management and other teams to mitigate risks and enable business growth.

The role sits in the Customers & Commercial team within the General Counsel Office and requires strong English communication, contract drafting, and negotiation skills,

Qualifications

• 7 years minimum post-qualification experience in private practice and/or in-house advising on the sell side of technology transactions.
• Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills.
• German, French or Spanish language skills or prior experience in those jurisdictions is an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of customer-facing and partner agreements, including SaaS, information licensing, data protection, hosting, content acquisition, consulting and professional services agreements, NDAs, and other commercial agreements.
• Identify legal, regulatory and compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with the General Counsel Office.
• Research and respond to general legal inquiries related to corporate, commercial, IP and compliance matters, including privacy issues, advising on appropriate actions.
