Job summary

Thomson Reuters Foundation in Poland seeks a Senior Counsel for a fixed-term contract to lead negotiations on SaaS, software, data and technology agreements. You will advise Sales, Product Management and business teams, ensuring practical, commercially sound decisions in a global market.

You will review and draft complex customer and partner agreements, manage data protection and cybersecurity considerations, and collaborate with the General Counsel Office to mitigate risk while supporting

Qualifications

• 7 years minimum post qualification experience in private practice and/or as in-house counsel advising on the sell side of technology transactions.
• Excellent written/verbal English language communication skills.
• German, French or Spanish language skills or legal experience in those jurisdictions are an advantage.
• Excellent technical legal knowledge in contract and commercial law, particularly SaaS products and solutions.
• Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
• Ability to think strategically and creatively, to identify and resolve legal issues.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of customer facing and partner agreements, including software (SaaS) and information licensing agreements, data protection, hosting, and professional services.
• Identify legal, regulatory and compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with the General Counsel Office.
• Research legal inquiries and advise on appropriate actions to support business initiatives.
