Job summary

HSBC in Krakow is seeking a Senior Manager – Core PC to lead end-to-end P&L production, balance sheet substantiation, and month-end reporting for the London trading business. You will partner with Front Office and Finance to ensure accurate valuation and strong governance.

You will oversee P&L reviews, monthly close activities, and financial controls while driving process improvements and regulatory compliance in a dynamic, collegiate environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in finance or economics or a quantitative field.
• Experience in Financial Markets or Treasury environments.
• Strong understanding of finance, valuation, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise end-to-end P&L review, analysis, and related processes across trading units.
• Lead daily P&L production, analysis, investigation, and trader engagement for sign-offs.
• Oversee month-end processes including True-ups and FVA adjustments and reporting.
• Manage balance sheet substantiation activities; analyze and resolve breaks.
• Ensure fair value governance and accurate valuation reflections in books.
• Drive compliance with Product Control requirements and regulatory standards.
• Identify and resolve issues across people, process and systems; ensure timely closure.
• Improve cost efficiency via automation, standardisation and centralisation.
