HSBC in Krakow invites you to join our Core PC team within Product Control to ensure accurate P&L and Balance Sheet reporting for Global Markets. You will perform production and independent validation, with close collaboration across Front Office, IT, and Risk teams.

We value strong analytical skills, advanced Excel (VBA/SQL/Access advantageous), and a proactive, results-driven mindset. A university degree in finance/economics or math/engineering and excellent English are required.

Qualifications

• University graduate from a reputable institution in financial or economic subject or university graduate in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or similar.
• Good understanding of Financial Markets (products traded and their life cycle, accounting principles)
• Basic knowledge of market risk factors.
• Advanced Excel is a must, knowledge of VBA, Access & SQL will be an advantage.
• Excellent analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Excellent written English and oral communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ambitious, driven and enthusiastic.

Responsibilities

• PnL analysis and production process performance for particular trading desks within the Global Markets business.
• Identification and resolving production exceptions where possible and working closely with other Product Control teams as and when required to resolve exceptions
• Upload of the results for review by management and preparation of commentary and analysis.
• Delivering a single view of the P&L and Balance Sheet through cooperation with Reporting and Valuation Product Control.
• Building relationships with key stakeholders including other Product Control functions, Quantitative Analytics, Front Office, Market Risk Management, IT and Operations.
• Reengineering and streamlining of processes to achieve economy of scale and increased service quality.
