Job summary

HSBC is seeking a Senior Controls Manager to join the GCIO Chief Control Office team in Krakow. The role focuses on operational and technology risk across HCIB/US/LAM technology estates, ensuring risk controls are robust and well-governed.

You will partner with regional risk owners and business teams to communicate risk, drive remediation timelines, and support governance submissions. Strong communication and independent working style are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in operational risk, non-financial risk or technology risk management.
• Experience with IT, risk, audit roles and managing diverse risk types is desirable.
• Active industry certificates (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CCSP) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Actively review risk positions (TCS GRAS and KCIs) and discuss risk impact with stakeholders to drive compliance trajectory.
• Oversee risk position for HCIB/US/LAM technology, identify remediation owners and uplift requirements.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on operational risk, risk assessments and control environment.
