Job summary

ZF Group in Wrocław is seeking a Senior Commodity Buyer to develop and execute sourcing strategies, analyze market trends, and drive cost optimization for assigned commodities. You will manage strategic supplier relationships and negotiate terms to achieve value objectives.

You will collaborate with engineering, quality and operations to support business needs and drive improvements in supplier performance in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• Degree preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or commodity management.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills.

The Senior Commodity Buyer is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for assigned commodities to ensure cost effective procurement, strong supplier performance, and effective risk mitigation. The role includes managing strategic supplier relationships, negotiating commercial terms, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to support business objectives.

In this position, you will contribute to commodity strategy development, analyze market trends, drive cost optimization initiatives, and support new product development. You will work closely with engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure alignment across functions and continuous improvement in supplier performance.

• Knowledge of global sourcing and supply chain best practices;
• Experience with strategic sourcing methodologies and familiarity with cost modeling and total cost of ownership analysis - nice to have;
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment - nice to have;
• High Pressure Die Casting experience would be a plus;
