Job summary

ZF Group in Wrocław seeks a Commodity Supplier Quality Engineer – Casting to join a global quality team. You’ll support supplier readiness, manage escalations, and drive maturity across casting and machining suppliers within projects and regional scopes.

You will apply APQP, 8D, FMEA, MSA and VDA6.3 methodologies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and travel as required to safeguard production sites and deliver continuous improvement across the supply base.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed degree in technical/mechanical/industrial engineering or comparable studies and several years’ work experience within automotive/business related industry.
• Knowledge of quality tools (APQP, 8D/ QR6S, FMEA, MSA… VDA6,3) and experience in one of technologies (Castings and Machining);
• High level of motivation, strong and reliable decision making-capabilities;
• Team and communication skills;
• Willingness for business travel;
• Very good communication skills in English;

Responsibilities

• Supporting and executing Divisional Supplier Quality Strategy;
• Supporting supplier escalation Level 1 doing EL2 Q-Performance Escalations regarding his suppliers;
• Responsible for Supplier readiness activities and achievement of expected maturity level within Projects (Customer but also internal) regarding commodity / regional suppliers;
• Responsible for supplier complaint management and protection of ZF Production sites within or outside its region including containment activities and 8D Management onsite at regional suppliers;
• Represents Supplier Quality E2E regarding assigned suppliers;
• Implementation for continuous improvement regarding assigned suppliers and also global Lessons Learned implementation, e.g. regular Audits, Q- Initiatives, CIP, preventive activities;
• Supporting of purchasing strategies (e.g. PFS, …) together with program, commodity purchasing, and related department;
• Responsible for SNCC collection and supported within escalation by purchasing.
