Job summary

Ignitis Group in Warsaw is seeking a Senior C&I Automation Engineer with extensive experience in electrical substations, renewable energy control systems, SCADA, and OT cybersecurity. The role covers design, integration, commissioning, and lifecycle support for Wind, Solar, BESS, and Hybrid plants.

The ideal candidate holds an Electrical/Electrical Engineering degree, 8–12 years of related experience, and strong knowledge of IEC 61850/60870 protocols, PPC/HPPC, and grid code compliance.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Automation Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years of engineering experience in electrical automation, control systems, and renewable energy projects.
• Proven experience with PPC/HPPC, SCADA, PLCs/RTUs, and substation networks.
• Strong knowledge of grid codes and OT cybersecurity requirements.
• Experience with IEC 61850/60870-5-101/104, Modbus, OPC UA.

Responsibilities

• Design automation, control, communication, and monitoring for substations and power plants.
• Provide technical leadership on architectures, grid compliance, and cybersecurity across renewables (Wind, Solar, BESS, Hybrid).
• Support construction, commissioning, testing, and documentation reviews with contractors and OEMs.
• Drive asset reliability, performance optimization, RCA, and issue resolution in operations.
• Lead design reviews, technical evaluations, and ensure grid code compliance.
• Represent Ignitis Group in meetings with TSOs/DSOs and other stakeholders.
