Job summary

Hitachi Energy Services is seeking a Senior C++ Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance software solutions across our product line. You will drive architectural decisions, ensure code quality, and participate in the full software development lifecycle.

You will lead complex modules, optimize for performance and scalability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. A strong background in C++, Linux/Unix, and modern testing frameworks is required, with mentoring

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related field.
5+ years of professional C++ software development experience.
Strong proficiency in C++11/14/17/20 with OO design, data structures and algorithms.
Experience with multi-threading, concurrency and performance optimization.
Solid understanding of Linux/Unix and network programming.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, and implementation of complex C++ modules and applications.
Architect and optimize software for performance, scalability, and reliability in distributed systems.
Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure coding standards and quality.
Collaborate with product management, QA, and engineering to define requirements.
Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues and provide timely resolutions.
Mentor junior developers and promote continuous improvement.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation efforts.
Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them to products.
