Job summary

The Cisco Splunk Search Experience backend team in Kraków is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build a next-gen, highly scalable search platform powering AI-driven workflows. You will work on distributed backend systems and collaborate with product and cross-functional teams to ship high-performance features.

You will mentor engineers, diagnose incidents, and contribute to end-to-end delivery of complex software in production, with exposure to Kubernetes and cloud services.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering with CS degree or equivalent.
• Deep expertise in C++ and backend systems.
• Strong distributed systems, design, debugging skills.
• Experience delivering complex software end-to-end in production.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and launch features powering core search functionalities.
• Build robust, scalable distributed systems in multi-threaded/multi-process environments.
• Define and optimize search language layer transformations.
• Analyze reliability and scalability of search execution pipelines.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical direction.
