Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with a CS degree or equivalent
• Deep expertise in C++, including building high-performance backend systems
• Strong foundation in distributed systems, system design, debugging, and testing
• Proven ability to design scalable and reliable system architectures
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and triaging skills
• Experience delivering complex software projects end-to-end in production
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Mentoring other engineers and driving technical direction
• Experience working with public cloud services such as AWS, GCP, Azure

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and launch features powering core search functionalities across Splunk’s product ecosystem
• Build robust, fault-tolerant and scalable distributed systems
• Define and perform search language layer optimizations/transformations
• Analyze and improve reliability and scalability of search execution pipelines
• Diagnose and solve customer incidents; identify gaps and deliver enhancements
• Hire, mentor junior engineers and grow talents on the team
