Job summary

Capgemini Polska seeks a backup and DR specialist to manage enterprise backup services using Veeam and Dell PowerProtect Data Domain. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and drive improvements across backup, restore, and disaster recovery activities, ensuring policy compliance and secure operations.

You will collaborate with architects and engineers, document procedures, and develop automation where possible, leveraging PowerShell, Bash or Python skills and REST APIs.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Veeam Backup & Replication, Veeam ONE, Veeam Recovery Orchestrator, and Veeam Enterprise Manager.
• Experience with Dell PowerProtect Data Domain in enterprise backup environments.
• Experience protecting and recovering workloads hosted on VMware and Hyper-V.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, backup security, immutability, and retention.
• Experience using ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of integrating Veeam with Zabbix monitoring platform.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and support enterprise backup and recovery services based on Veeam and Dell PowerProtect Data Domain.
• Ensure reliable backup operations through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex incidents and recurring issues.
• Lead backup, restore, and disaster recovery activities, ensuring compliance with recovery objectives, retention policies, and security requirements.
• Drive service improvements by optimizing backup performance, resilience, automation, and operational processes.
• Provide technical guidance and collaborate with architects, engineers, and customer stakeholders on backup-related solutions and best practices.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and automation scripts supporting the backup service.
• It is not essential, but we appreciate if you also have scripting and automation skills.
