Job summary

Synechron is seeking a hands-on Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable services on Google Cloud Platform. You will work across backend engineering, cloud architecture, security, and reliability while delivering production-ready code.

You’ll design scalable architectures, develop event-driven systems with PostgreSQL, and own end-to-end lifecycle from design through cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python or Node.js with production-grade backend experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL design, performance tuning, and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate secure, scalable backend services on Google Cloud Platform.
• Design architectures using GKE, Cloud Run, Filestore, and Pub/Sub.
• Develop event-driven systems and optimize PostgreSQL for high concurrency.
• Own the full lifecycle of services from design to deployment, monitoring, and cost optimization.
• Implement OAuth2 and OpenID Connect flows for secure access.
• Manage infrastructure with Terraform and apply zero-trust security principles.
• Collaborate across the stack to influence architecture and technical decisions.
• Stay current with Go, Rust, and TypeScript trends.
