Job summary

HSBC Technology Poland is hiring L2 Application Support Analysts / Engineers to manage production incidents on the Avaloq core banking platform for private banking. You will build knowledge and troubleshoot with IT and business teams.

The role requires 5+ years in IT, strong Unix/Linux, Oracle DB, ITIL, and experience with Control-M/Autosys, plus excellent communication and English language skills. This is a shift-based role with UK coverage.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT experience in application/support roles within banking.
• Knowledge of Avaloq Front Platform.
• Windows/Unix/Linux experience for BAU activities.
• Proficiency in PL-SQL and Oracle DB basics.
• Experience with production batch tools (Control‑M, Autosys, Zena).
• Understanding of ITIL processes: Incident, Problem, Change.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with clear communication.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Build strong functional knowledge of applications and data for impact analysis and troubleshooting.
• Manage incident lifecycle end‑to‑end: triage, investigation, escalation, closure.
• Raise and manage PRBs; inform and engage all required teams.
• Differentiate incidents from service requests and fulfill small reports.
• Own EOD batch processing in production.
• Conduct daily health checks and application monitoring.
• Maintain clear, regular communication with stakeholders.
• Support a shift‑based model including UK shift coverage and weekend support.
