Job summary

HSBC Service Delivery in Kraków is seeking an experienced Avaloq Developer to design, develop and maintain IT solutions for private banking and capital markets. You will own end-to-end product delivery, work with Avaloq and scripting (PL/SQL, Unix shell, Control‑M), and ensure regulatory compliance across the customer journey.

Qualifications

• Strong Avaloq development background.
• Strong understanding of private banking / investment banking.
• Hands-on experience with Avaloq (or comparable core banking).
• Strong scripting capability, including PL/SQL.
• Ability to understand user requirements and provide Avaloq parameterization with Unix and shell scripts, Control‑M.
• Strong analysis, solution design, coding, debugging and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience across the delivery lifecycle: development, testing, handling change requests and supporting release execution.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps ways of working.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication, including stakeholder‑facing presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop IT solutions aligned to design to meet customer needs and perform unit/integration tests.
• Own a product end-to-end, delivering IT solutions across the customer journey.
• Ensure compliance with mandatory standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain group controls within pod activities and resolve remediation swiftly.
• Ensure operational stability, integrity, and availability of supported products and services.
• Drive pod performance in line with productivity, quality, and effectiveness benchmarks.
• Collaborate with Solution Architect to align with architectures and systems.
• Define and document solutions with structured analysis methodologies.
• Validate proposed solutions with business and technical teams to ensure clarity.
