Job summary

HSBC is seeking an experienced L2 Application Support Analyst/Engineer to join our private banking IT operations in Poland. You will manage production incidents on the Avaloq platform, perform triage, investigations and communicate with stakeholders as part of a shift-based model including UK coverage and weekend on-call.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in banking IT support, hands-on PL-SQL and Oracle DB, and solid ITIL process knowledge.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s/Graduate degree in a relevant IT field.
5+ years of IT experience in banking application/support.
Experience with Avaloq Front Platform and production incidents.
Strong PL-SQL and Oracle DB knowledge.
Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change).
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
Fluency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

Manage production incidents on HSBC's Avaloq-based private banking core platform.
Triage, investigate, escalate, and close incidents per ITIL guidelines.
Raise and manage PRBs and keep stakeholders informed.
Oversee end-of-day batch processing and daily health checks.
Support a shift-based model including UK shift cover and weekend on-call.
