Job summary

Nordea is seeking Expert AI Specialists to own reliable, secure and scalable AI-enabled platforms. You will shape solutions, build production-grade AI infrastructure, and guide teams in responsible AI adoption within Nordea standards.

The role sits in an SRE Operations context, modernizing with Mirantis Kubernetes and Docker, and requires leadership across on-call, observability, and production readiness. Hybrid work up to 40% remote is offered.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in IT operations, SRE, platform engineering or cloud infra with ownership of complex production environments
• Strong DevOps and operations experience across support, maintenance, deployment, automation and platform administration
• Deep experience with cloud operations in Google Cloud; AWS or Azure knowledge is a plus
• Excellent troubleshooting across logs, metrics and traces to resolve complex issues
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix environments
• Hands-on CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible and Git-based repo management
• Experience designing or operating AI-enabled solutions and AI workflows
• Judgement to make sound technical decisions in a regulated environment balancing security and maintainability
• Lead-by-doing approach with ability to share knowledge and guide others
• Clear communication and stakeholder management with fluency in English

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of reliable, secure and scalable cloud and AI-enabled services, including 24/7 on-call rotation
• Define and improve observability, monitoring, alerting, SLOs, incident response and production readiness, focusing on Google Cloud
• Design and implement AI-enabled environments, including agentic AI solutions and retrieval-augmented generation workflows
• Translate business and operational needs into sustainable technical solutions, identifying dependencies and risks
• Provide expert guidance to users and engineering teams, resolving platform issues
• Own the implementation and lifecycle of development, test and production platforms for stability and maintainability
• Drive technical decisions based on evidence and governance requirements
• Mentor colleagues and help raise engineering standards across the team
