Job summary

Esko is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Esko AI team in Prague on a hybrid basis. You will help design and build knowledge-based AI workflows, focusing on knowledge representation, retrieval, validation, and human review within a centralized AI platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering, with ownership of a platform or shared-services product.
• Experience designing and operating production systems.
• Experience building knowledge/retrieval or rule systems.
• Experience with RAG, information extraction, and structured validation.
• Ability to model decisions, uncertainty, and escalation.

Responsibilities

• Design the knowledge representation for constraints, transformations, procedures, and guidelines.
• Build and operate platform services for ingesting, curating, retrieving, and versioning knowledge.
• Define how semantic retrieval, deterministic validation, and human review interact.
• Design reusable APIs and tools for applying, validating, and explaining contextual knowledge.
• Build evaluation suites for retrieval quality, applicability, and explanation quality.
• Own substantial technical areas including security, isolation, reliability, and observability.
• Collaborate with domain experts and product teams to turn informal expertise into structured knowledge.
