Job summary

UST is seeking a Validation Engineer to support client storage technology validation across Windows, Linux, and UEFI. Responsibilities include system setup, test execution, defect verification, and maintaining validation labs in compliance with Client standards.

The candidate should perform imaging, OS deployment, RAID configuration, and hardware bring-up while capturing logs and ensuring high-quality validation results. Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Electronics/EE or related field.
• Experience with validation in storage hardware is a plus.
• Familiarity with validation tools and defect tracking is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual validation of RST and TSE across Windows, Linux and UEFI.
• Install, configure, and maintain validation systems, OS, BIOS and firmware.
• Perform functional, smoke, sanity, regression and compatibility tests.
• Do system imaging, BIOS flashing, OS deployment, RAID setup, and hardware bring-up.
• Capture logs, screenshots, traces, and diagnostics for defect reporting.
• Reproduce customer-reported issues and support verification by engineering.
• Record test execution status and maintain test documentation.
• Maintain validation labs, hardware inventory and assets.
• Adhere to engineering processes, quality standards and security policies.
• Support lab improvements to boost efficiency and operations.
