The Opportunity

UST is looking for a Validation Engineer to design, develop, and execute comprehensive validation strategies for Client storage products, including storage drivers, firmware, BIOS components, installers, and platform integrations. The role focuses on advanced validation, automation framework development, CI/CD integration, debugging, and driving continuous improvements to ensure product quality and release readiness.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and optimize comprehensive validation strategies for Client storage products including storage drivers, installers, firmware, BIOS components, and platform integrations.
• Develop and maintain automated validation frameworks using Python, PowerShell, C#, .NET, or equivalent technologies.
• Integrate automated validation suites into CI/CD pipelines to improve execution efficiency, test coverage, and continuous validation capabilities.
• Execute advanced functional, interoperability, security, scalability, performance, power management, and stress validation activities.
• Perform HLK certification, WinPE validation, BIOS/IFWI validation, firmware qualification, and platform compatibility testing.
• Analyze BSODs, crash dumps, storage protocol failures, driver issues, memory dumps, and system performance bottlenecks using debugging tools.
• Collaborate with architecture, firmware, software development, and validation teams to investigate product issues and verify resolutions.
• Review test plans, automation coverage, execution metrics, and validation reports to ensure product release readiness.
• Prepare technical documentation, validation reports, defect trend analysis, dashboards, and project status metrics.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

• Knowledge of firmware qualification, BIOS/IFWI validation, and platform integration.
• Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience driving process improvements and mentoring team members.

Qualification

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
