Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Technical Manager / Dev Team Lead in Poland to own SAP Business Network solutions from concept to deployment. You will lead a SAP BTP, CAP Java, and Fiori development team, collaborating with architects, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable software and drive engineering best practices in a cloud-based environment.

You will mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and coordinate end-to-end development workflows while tackling

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in developing web-based applications with leadership responsibilities.
• Hands-on SAP Fiori development experience (SAPUI5, OData, CAP CDS).
• Strong knowledge of Java Spring Boot and building RESTful APIs using API-first principles.

Join our team as a Technical Manager / Dev Team Lead and take ownership of building innovative SAP Business Network solutions from the ground up. In this role, you will lead a talented SAP BTP, CAP Java, and Fiori development team while contributing to all stages of the product lifecycle, from concept and design to deployment and continuous improvement. You will collaborate closely with architects, product managers, and cross-functional teams to transform complex requirements into scalable, high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a development team responsible for delivering commercial software solutions
• Drive the end-to-end development lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, QA engineers, UX specialists, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality products
• Translate complex product roadmap features into actionable technical components and development plans
• Promote engineering best practices, code quality standards, and scalable microservice architecture
• Guide the team in analyzing, investigating, and resolving production issues, customer requests, and technical challenges
• Assess issue severity, coordinate resolution efforts, and maintain ownership through successful closure
• Prioritize and manage multiple production incidents and customer requests across various sources while delegating tasks effectively
• Contribute to technical decision-making, architecture discussions, and solution design activities
• Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize development processes, tools, and delivery practices

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in developing web-based applications, including experience leading or coordinating development teams
• Strong knowledge of design patterns, algorithms, and data structures
• Hands-on experience designing and developing web APIs using API-first principles, including REST, GraphQL, and Swagger/OpenAPI
• Practical experience with SAP Fiori development, including SAPUI5, OData, and CAP CDS
• Advanced knowledge of Java Spring Boot and web service development
• Experience working with SAP HANA databases
• Experience using modern development and DevOps tools, including GitHub, Jenkins, Selenium, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Puppet, and Chef
• Understanding of deployment environments, application configuration, and change management processes
• Ability to work confidently with relational database management systems
• Ability to apply Agile development practices using version control platforms such as Git, GitHub, or GitLab
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience using project and issue tracking tools such as Jira for defect management and delivery coordination
