Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a highly skilled SAP BTP Architect to design and govern enterprise-grade SAP BTP solutions, establishing platform standards, architecture governance, security frameworks, and AI enablement capabilities. You will collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to build scalable, cloud-compliant solutions.

The role covers platform architecture, integration, and enterprise transformation with leadership in DevSecOps and event-driven, API-first patterns.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in enterprise architecture with SAP BTP governance.
• Expertise in SAP Integration Suite, Build products, and Apps.
• Proficient in SAP Build Process Automation and HANA Cloud.
• Knowledge of SAP AI Core / AI Launchpad and Joule adoption.
• Familiar with security concepts like XSUAA and OAuth2/SAML/OIDC.
• Experience with CAP, CDS, Node.js, and Java.
• Understanding of OData and REST APIs; Cloud Foundry, Kyma, Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement SAP BTP services, governance standards, and best practices.
• Define enterprise BTP reference architecture, operating model, and governance.
• Design multi-subaccount and global account architecture with landscape strategies.
• Align solutions with business/technical requirements including extension architectures.
• Lead integration patterns for B2B, EDI, API and event-based integrations.
• Architect hybrid SAP and non-SAP landscapes; establish AI Foundation architecture.
• Define Generative AI patterns to enable business innovation on SAP BTP.
• Define CI/CD architecture and DevSecOps operating model.
• Establish security/compliance guardrails and observability architecture.

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP BTP Architect to design and govern enterprise-grade SAP BTP solutions, establishing platform standards, architecture governance, security frameworks, integration strategies, DevSecOps practices, and AI enablement capabilities. The role combines platform architecture, cloud-native development, integration architecture, enterprise transformation, and innovation enablement, working closely with business stakeholders, SAP solution architects, and development teams to build scalable, secure, and cloud-compliant solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement SAP BTP services, governance standards, and best practices
• Define enterprise BTP reference architecture, operating model, and governance framework
• Design multi-subaccount and global account architecture, and define tenant and landscape strategies
• Design solutions aligned with business and technical requirements, including extension architectures supporting Clean Core
• Design event-driven and API-first architectures, and architect hybrid SAP and non-SAP landscapes
• Lead SAP Integration Suite architecture and define API Management strategy
• Establish integration governance and reusable patterns for B2B, EDI, API, and event-based integrations
• Support Joule adoption and architecture, and establish AI Foundation architecture
• Define Generative AI integration patterns to enable business innovation on SAP BTP
• Define CI/CD architecture and implement DevSecOps operating model
• Establish security and compliance guardrails, and define monitoring and observability architecture

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture roles, with a focus on SAP BTP platform design and governance
• Expertise in SAP Integration Suite, SAP Build Work Zone, and SAP Build Apps
• Proficiency in SAP Build Process Automation, SAP HANA Cloud, and SAP Event Mesh
• Knowledge of SAP Business Application Studio, SAP AI Core / AI Launchpad, and SAP Mobile Services
• Familiarity with XSUAA, SAP Destination & Connectivity Services, and SAP Cloud Connector
• Background in Joule adoption and architecture patterns
• Skills in CAP, CDS, Node.js, and Java
• Competency in ABAP Cloud, RAP, and Fiori
• Understanding of OData and REST APIs
• Capability to use Cloud Foundry, Kyma Runtime, and Kubernetes/Docker
• Flexibility to use GitHub, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
• Qualifications in SAP IAS, IPS, XSUAA, and OAuth2/SAML/OpenID Connect, along with BTP Authorization Concepts
• Expertise in Enterprise, Solution, and Integration Architecture, including Event-Driven Architecture, API Management, and Microservices Architecture
• Advanced proficiency in English (B2+/C1)

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM and additional SAP BTP services
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA (Public & Private Cloud)
• Background in SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud
