Job summary

Outokumpu Chrome Oy is seeking an experienced SAP Release Manager with development understanding to lead governance, planning, and execution of SAP releases across our business-critical SAP landscape. You will act as the primary gatekeeper for moving changes safely into production environments, ensuring deployments are thoroughly tested, approved, and aligned with business priorities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Release Management, Change Management, Service Management, Delivery Management, or a related field.
• Strong experience managing complex release cycles within large-scale enterprise environments.
• Experience working with enterprise business systems and applications across multiple environments and technologies.
• Proven track record coordinating diverse stakeholders across business and IT functions.
• Solid understanding of change, release, and service management principles and industry best practices (e.g., ITIL).
• Knowledge of identity, access, and authorization management concepts.
• Understanding of software development lifecycles, deployment processes, and quality assurance practices.
• Strong communication, coordination, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and govern the release lifecycle, deployment calendar, and production rollout activities.
• Coordinate deployments, cutovers, and go-live activities across multiple environments.
• Manage release dependencies and align business, development, infrastructure, testing, and support teams.
• Ensure successful testing, production readiness, and quality standards before deployment.
• Identify and mitigate release risks, maintain contingency plans, and drive process improvements.
• Govern release-related processes, controls, and documentation using established change management practices and tools.
• Coordinate releases and deployment activities across complex enterprise system landscapes.
• Ensure compliance with audit, governance, security, and change management requirements.
• Coordinate the delivery and prioritization of access management and security-related activities.
• Promote development quality and ensure teams follow engineering standards and delivery processes.
